Part 1 Site Allocations: Issues and Options document - Call for additional sites

The Council is undertaking a new “Call for Sites” to ensure that it has the most up-to-date record of sites which have the potential to contribute to the Borough’s development requirements as set out in the Regulation 18 Stage 1 Consultation: Part 1 Site Allocations: Issues and Options document. A draft Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SLAA) has not identified sufficient land supply to meet the borough's development requirements over the whole plan period and therefore additional land needs to be identified.

Landowners and developers are invited to formally submit information to the Council regarding land that is available or could become available for housing, employment, retail or other forms of development in the period up to 2028 and beyond. The consultation period which will last for an eight week period commences on Wednesday 25 April, and lasts until 5.00 pm on Wednesday 11 July 2018.

Land identified through this process will be used to update the Borough’s draft SLAA and inform future stages of the Borough’s Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document.  Please note sites identified through this process will not automatically be allocated as part of the Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document.  

Whilst there will be further opportunities for sites to be proposed for development as additional technical work is undertaken and consulted upon, the Council would appreciate landowners and developers input early in the process.
